About us

2FA Auth is a free online tool for generating one-time TOTP codes. We make two-factor authentication simpler: no app to install and no sign-up.

What the site does

You enter the secret key (or scan the QR code) that a service gave you when you enabled two-factor authentication, and 2FA Auth shows the same 6-digit code an authenticator app would show. The calculation happens in your browser.

Our approach

We keep the product small on purpose: no user accounts, no login and no database of authenticator data. We try to be clear about what an online authenticator can and cannot protect – read the security and privacy overview before you use it for important accounts.
